In the case of inclement weather, Neighborhood Sports will abide by the following:
Neighborhood Sports policy is to NOT cancel games based upon a weather forecast.
Conditions may vary depending on field locations and can change quickly or clear prior to game time. We usually do not cancel games from the office, unless a field has been closed by the school/city prior to game time. Neighborhood Sports uses fields throughout the Central Texas area at schools, parks, and privately owned facilities. On game day our field crew will evaluate weather conditions and the playing surface to deem whether games should be cancelled or played. Park districts, school districts, and privately owned facilities will evaluate field conditions to determine if there fields are playable. Often times Neighborhood Sports does not receive notice of field cancellations until early morning on game day. We make every effort to notify coaches, parents, and players as soon as a location is cancelled.
PARENTS ALWAYS HAVE THE ULTIMATE RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE DECISIONS REGARDING THE PARTICIPATION OF THEIR CHILD. NEIGHBORHOOD SPORTS DOES NOT FORCE ANY CHILD TO PLAY.

- To receive text message alerts make sure to include your cell phone in the cell phone field on your account (include cell phone number in player info also) . You will also have to opted into our text alert option by texting your group keyword (sent to you via email after being added to a texting group).
Our goal is to have as many scheduled games played as possible; however we want all of our participants, coaches, families, and friends to have a safe and fun season.
Cancellations due to weather will be attempted to be rescheduled but are not are not guaranteed. This will vary per season based on field availability, which is often determined by facility managers, who are separate organizations from Neighborhood Sports.
